On the eve of the Battle of Shiloh, Union soldier Tyler Sheridan has a premonition he is going to die in tomorrow’s engagement. That night, he writes an epic anti-war poem called Never-ending Night and leaves it to be delivered to his fiancé. The next day, a cannon ball explodes in front of him. Tyler walks out of the smoke and straight into a modern reenactment. Photojournalist Stacy Sutton thinks helping Tyler is her second chance, an opportunity to atone for the death of her partner…and her past. But the mystery surrounding Tyler’s appearance threatens any hope they have of a future together. Is Tyler a traveler through time or mad man, lost in his own delusions?
