CHRISTMAS

The Evergreen Wreath

Twenty-year-old Levi Harper needs help. Life is difficult after his father and brother die in a mine cave-in but when pneumonia takes his mother, Levi can't manage the mine and his four younger siblings alone. He signs up for a mail-order-bride. Virginia Pepper is determined to escape her father’s unrelenting anger and all-too-ready fists. She’ll do anything to get on that train…even agree to marry a stranger. But she has no intention of trading one abusive man for another. Paper marriage or not, she’ll be on her way first chance she gets, no matter how sweet and kind Levi seems.

As Christmas approaches, Levi counts down the days with a waiting, hopeful spirit. Can the Christmas season create a path for Levi into Virginia’s heart?

(THE EVERGREEN WREATH is part of the Christmas Mail-Order Angels collection of Christmas novellas, each by a different author. Available individually or in packaged sets. Kindle only.)

Reviews: White Christmas

I felt like I was watching through a window! She certainly knows how to bring a scene to life. This is just a beautiful story all around!

The story has an easy pace to it. No major conflicts, just a nice, curl-up-on-the-couch-with-a-cup-of-cocoa kind of read.

A Cowboy Christmas

A mom on the run; a special child and her “imaginary” friend; a cowboy; and God. Shy horseman Dex Beckett longs to help lovely Layne Mabrey and her daughter, but Layne's lack of faith and stubborn refusal to relinquish her distrustful heart could get in the way of even Heart's Haven's heavenly residents.

Reviews: A Cowboy Christmas

A Cowboy Christmas is a short story that packs plenty of story into its pages. Tanya Stowe and Delia Latham create interesting characters who are well developed and a plot that doesn't feel rushed; instead I felt like I had actually read a full-length story. ... The romance that developed between the main characters was sweet and will leave readers longing for a Dex of their own! While there is a Christmas feel to the story, I honestly wouldn't hesitate to read this one any time of the year. Perfect for a quick afternoon read. Fans of good clean reads will certainly enjoy this book, a feel-good story that left me wanting to read more from these authors!

Lea's Gift

At twenty-one, Lea Dale is well-adjusted and happy, despite the facial scars she's carried since infancy. She has friends in high places (with a connection to angels); possesses colorful vision (since for some reason she can see auras around folks); and her family and friends adore her.

Corrective surgery is a possibility, but not one Lea has felt the need to consider…until wealthy investor Laren Meadows walks into her life and turns it upside down. Suddenly, Lea is painfully conscious of her lack of perfection, given Laren's flawless looks and ultra-charming personality. What a blessing that he's attracted to her despite her scars—and even her special angel seems to approve of the match.

Then a secret from Laren's past threatens to destroy any hope of a future for the two of them. Now there's only

one way for Lea to know if Laren's love is true, but taking that action could mark the end of their relationship.

Reviews: Lea's Gift

Latham and Stowe have written Lea's Gift with feeling and compassion. I instantly fell in love with each of the characters and hoped for a happy ending. This book is only eighty-four pages but it is stocked full of Christmas miracles and love. It was impossible to put it down, but I hated getting to the last page and leaving my friends behind. Lea's Gift would be a perfect Hallmark Special Christmas tradition to watch year after year after year. I cried, I laughed, and I cheered and booed as the story unfolded. I highly recommend this book to everyone; it is a beautiful reminder of how we should treat each other, what is really important on this earth and just a lovely story. I give this book a five star plus, plus, plus rating. I urge you to read Lea's Gift; you will not be disappointed.

Reviews: Wounded Grace

Wounded Grace is part of the Heart’s Haven Easter collection, in which a startling and unexpected occurrence saddens many faithful visitors to the Haven. But Tanya Stowe manages to reach around and beyond that central shock, and build yet another truly heart-rending set of circumstances between the hero and heroine. When their past threatens their future, only God and His wonderful messengers can create the kind of miracle that will bring renewal and refreshing into the hearts of two people who’ve suffered far too long. Stowe is a master storyteller with a keen awareness of and empathy for humanity with all its faults and foibles. A beautiful tale, beautifully written.
